ATS Staff Travels
As travel consultants, we need to travel not only to learn about new
destinations
but also to re-visit the places we love. Hey, someone has to do it! And the staff members of Antietam Travel Service have been doing a
lot of traveling lately!
Alex
Bohn sailed aboard the Caribbean Princess in January
2007. The seven-night Eastern Caribbean itinerary included St.
Maarten, St. Thomas and Princess Cays. In April she spent a week at
Lake Garda, Italy with sightseeing in the Veneto region. In December
she visited Germany for a week and visited Christmas markets in
Regensburg, Ulm and Stuttgart. This month she sailed aboard the
Golden Princess on a 7-night Mexican Riviera cruise with
stops in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.
Linda and Bill
Cleveland sailed aboard Dawn Princess in January 2007
on a Mexican Riviera itinerary. In May they traveled to Cape Liberty
in New Jersey to celebrate the inaugural of Royal Caribbean's
newest and largest ship, Liberty of the Seas. In July
they traveled to Bermuda aboard Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of
the Seas. This past January they sailed round-trip from St.
Thomas, USVI, aboard the Wind Spirit, a luxury Windstar Cruises
ship with computerized sails that carries 148 passengers. They
visited St. John, St. Martin, St. Barthelemy, Tortolla, Jost Van Dyke,
and Virgin Gorda. At the end of March they will stay in Riviera
Maya at the all-inclusive Riu Playacar, which has a
five-golden-apple rating from Apple Vacations.
Sandy
Heil visited Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in August
and stayed at the all-inclusive Grand Palladium Palace and Royal
Suites, which has a five-apple rating from Apple Vacations.
In October she opted for the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas,
where she stayed at Bally's, which is centrally located along
the Vegas Strip. Remember, Las Vegas is not just for gambling -
there are great shows, restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping. In
March she traveled to the Riviera Maya area south of Cancun, Mexico,
where she stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo
resort, which has a six-golden-apple rating, Apple Vacations'
highest rating.
JoAnn
Lindgren traveled to the Canadian Rockies in September. The combination Rocky
Mountaineer Train trip and tour were organized by Globus.
Her vacation started in Vancouver and ended in Calgary nine days
later.
Debbie
Riffle sailed aboard the Caribbean Princess in January
2007 on a 7-night Caribbean cruise. In May she led a large group
aboard Celebrity Cruises' Millennium on a 12-night
Mediterranean cruise. In November she stayed in Riviera
Maya at the all-inclusive Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso, which has a
six-golden-apple rating from Apple Vacations. In January 2008
she sailed aboard Oceania's Regatta on a 10-night
Caribbean cruise.
Nancy
Roberson spent ten days in Hawaii last July. She stayed at
the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa on the island of Maui
and at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach, which is located
on Waikiki Beach on the island of Oahu. One of our Disney Specialists, Nancy celebrated "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party" at
Walt
Disney World in October. She visited the new Iberostar Rose Hall
Resort in Jamaica in November. When she visited Universal Studios Florida
this past January, she stayed at the onsite Lowes Hard Rock Resort.
Visitors who stay at an onsite resort are given complimentary
front-of-the-line access to all attractions! All three onsite
resorts are within a comfortable walking distance to Universal
Studios, Islands of Adventure, and City Walk.
Julie
Shanholtz, also a Disney Specialist, traveled to Walt Disney World in
Orlando, FL, in November.
She celebrated "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" at Magic Kingdom and
the "Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights" at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
She also visited Epcot and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.
Amy
White traveled to Las Vegas in January and stayed at
the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. In February she went
to Orlando, FL, and visited Walt Disney World's Magic
Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.
