U.S. Passport Requirements
You may have read news reports or heard about new
passport requirements for travelers between the United States and the Western
Hemisphere. Of course, a valid Passport is already required for travel to most
countries. Soon all travelers to and from the Caribbean, Bermuda, Panama, Canada or
Mexico will be required to have a passport to enter or re-enter the
United States. The deadline for full implementation of these travel requirements is January 1, 2008. In the proposed implementation plan, the
new Passport rules will be rolled out in phases, and the proposed timeline will be as
follows:
- December 31, 2006 - Requirement applied to all air
and sea travel to or from Canada, Mexico, Central and South
America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
- December 31, 2007 - Requirement extended to all land
border crossings as well as air and sea travel.
By January 1, 2008, all Americans departing and returning to the
U.S. will be required to have a valid U.S. Passport.
With these deadlines in mind, please be advised that if your
travel plans include Mexico, Central and South America, the
Caribbean, or Bermuda in 2007, and if you currently do not possess a
Passport, you should immediately apply for a U.S. Passport to
avoid the rush at the end of this year. The process can be
started at any U.S. Post Office that handles Passport applications.
The process normally takes about 6 weeks. See
http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html for further
details, or give us a call. |

New ATS Web Site Name
We have a new web site name! You may now find us
on the Internet at
http://www.www.antietamtravel.com in addition to

we decided to simplify our web site name. If you click on our new URL above you
will be redirected to antietamtravel.com, where we strive to provide you with
the travel information you want and need, as well as our latest
specials. Also, alternate
email addresses for our staff are available: firstname@www.antietamtravel.com, where
firstname is the first name of one of our staff.
Also, please remember that from our home page, you can sign up for our ATS
Email Specials list to receive bi-weekly emails that include several offers from
