I was born and raised in Southern Germany.

“Growing up it was not unusual to spend weekends in neighboring countries like France,Austria, Switzerland and Italy. I was exposed to different cultures, lifestyles and food from an early age. During my High School years I was an exchange student in England to further my language studies."

After graduating from High School and Business College, I joined the prestigious Hapag Lloyd Travel Group and completed a 2 1/2 year apprenticeship as a Certified Travel Counselor. I moved to Maryland in 1980 and continued my career as a travel consultant.

My travels have taken me to many countries in Europe, Egypt and South Africa. I have also visited many Caribbean Islands and Mexico by cruise and resort stay. I am an Accredited Cruise Counsellor and a French Destination Specialist. I hold many specialist and expert certifications and take pride in continuing my education and training by visiting destinations and learning with online courses.

"I started my career when travel was booked by phone and air tickets were written by hand. The travel industry has evolved over the years and with the technology today we have access to booking engines and excellent planning tools to provide great customer service."

"I love working on complex international itineraries and enjoy the challenge of research. My travel experience allows me to plan the dream vacation for my many loyal and new clients.

“Travel takes me out of the ordinary and into a world of wonder, magic, and adventure.” Walt Disney World is Anita's favorite destination. “I love the smells on Main Street, the corny jokes of Jungle Cruise, the uniquely themed restaurants, and the general excitement of feeling like a kid again. Disney tells a story with every attraction and resort.”

Anita graduated from Hood College in 1987 with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation. She has a professional background in Parks and Recreation. After 30 trips to Walt Disney World and years of sharing her Disney secrets and tips with others, she became an independent Travel Professional in 2014 associated with a Florida agency. She is thrilled to share her love for Walt Disney World with her clients at Antietam Travel Service. Anita is also enthusiastic about helping travelers enjoy the western United States, Alaska, and the all-inclusive resorts of Mexico and the Caribbean.
"Being born in the Caribbean, I spent my summer vacations visiting other islands. My love for travel started then."

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain.

Julie is a Cancun/Riviera Maya, Caribbean, cruise, leisure and Disney specialist. She began her travel career at ATS in April 1988.
I took my first cruise in November 1986 to celebrate my birthday in Tahiti. I was immediately hooked on cruising and travel. In fact, I loved travel so much that in April 1989, I purchased Antietam Travel Service, which was established in 1984.

I enjoy planning trips for clients as much as planning my own trips. It gives me great pleasure to work with our clients year after year - even the second generation of families. Referrals and loyal clients have helped our business grow through the years. I take your travel plans as seriously as if they were my own - I want your travel experience to be perfect. I love to make your travel dreams come true.

Being a Baby Boomer, I am working on my "bucket list." I have traveled to all seven continents. My family and I traveled to Antarctica in January 2017. My favorite places are Tahiti, China, Australia/New Zealand, Kenya (safari), Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu and the Amazon Jungle, Europe, and, of course, cruising (61 cruises and counting, 64 countries and counting). I travel often with my husband, daughter and granddaughter to exciting places. My philosophy is "I am creating memories with you that will last you a lifetime." In addition to cruising and multi-generational travel, I specialize in group travel. Whether it is friends and families, or service organizations, your group benefits can be substantial. I would love to help you with your "bucket list," multi-generational travel, group travel, or just a quick getaway. My travel experience and dedication to the industry are great resources for your future travels.

As manager of Antietam Travel Service, I also handle many administrative and accounting duties, providing the quality control not always available at other agencies.
